Location: Western Suburban Chicago Region, IL Job Type: Full-Time

We are partnered with a well-established, award-winning engineering & surveying firm known for delivering high-precision infrastructure and land development projects across Illinois and the Midwest.

This is a high-impact leadership opportunity for an experienced Survey Project Manager ready to take full ownership of clients, teams, and project delivery.

This is not just a management role—it is a leadership seat in the Survey Group, with direct responsibility for project execution, profitability, and client relationships across multiple concurrent projects.

What You’ll Own

  • Lead survey teams on boundary, ALTA, topographic, IDOT, and construction staking projects
  • Manage multiple concurrent projects from kickoff through closeout
  • Own project budgets, proposals, and scopes with a focus on accuracy and margin
  • Oversee QA/QC for plats, boundary computations, and final deliverables
  • Direct field and office staff with accountability and mentorship
  • Manage and grow client relationships and support business development efforts
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to clients and internal leadership
  • Conduct and oversee deed research and public records analysis

What You Bring

  • Licensed Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) &- Illinois
  • & 10 years of land surveying experience
  • Proven leadership of survey teams and complex project workloads
  • Strong proficiency in AutoCAD, MicroStation, and Trimble Business Center
  • Experience with Trimble robotic total stations and GPS equipment
  • Strong understanding of Illinois surveying standards and IDOT workflows
  • Strong client-facing communication skills
  • Ability to manage deadlines, budgets, and competing priorities
