For Retail areas, the Pharmacy Technician is responsible for assisting pharmacists in the preparation and distribution of medications. The role involves handling day-to-day tasks such as processing prescriptions, managing inventory, and providing customer service. This entry-level position serves as a stepping stone to more advanced pharmacy technician roles. Qualifications EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING 1. Previous pharmacy technician experience preferred 2. Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) required or obtained within 6 months of hire date (this requirement may be waived for current pharmacy students enrolled in an accredited School of Pharmacy)3. State Pharmacy Technician License/ Registration required (if required by state regulations)4. High school diploma or equivalent 5.
