Responsibilitites:

  • Support in administering occupational therapy assessments and evaluate client care needs related to functional status, activities of daily living, fine motor coordination, home assessments, and adaptive equipment using standardized procedures.
  • Complete documentation on assessment outcomes with recommendations and deliver any intervention and/or skill building as needed for the class member to transition to independent living.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on client needs containing achievable functional goals.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary professionals; i.e. Primary Care Physicians, Psychiatrists, Case Managers, Therapists, etc. to provide comprehensive care to support the client's successful independent living.
  • Develop understanding of agency-wide programs in order to inform and participate in interdisciplinary treatment.
  • Comply with evaluation, treatment, and documentation guidelines; and consistently maintain timely and accurate departmental records.
  • Provide strengths-based, client-centered, and trauma-informed clinical services to adults with mental health diagnoses and co-occurring substance abuse disorders.
  • Perform other related duties and/or projects as assigned.
  • Attend weekly supervisions and agency-wide trainings with active and thoughtful participation.
  • Complete all required academic fieldwork objectives as required by AOTA and OT program.
  • Maintain consistent communication with academic fieldwork supervisor and OT clinical instructor.
  • Complete project as identified and coordinated with supervisor.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling or other related fields preferred
  • Must be current occupational therapy Masters or Doctorate student
  • For capstone students: Must have completed a Level 2 Fieldwork at Trilogy previously
  • Must have reliable, daily transportation to visit clients in community
