Job Description

We are working with a client company in the Chicago Metro Region seeking a CNC Milling Machinist (multiple shifts). This position will offer regular overtime with a growing company that has been in business for over 100 years! Prior experience working as a CNC Milling Machinist is required.

Responsibilities:

  • Set up and operate manual or CNC milling machines
  • Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and GD&T
  • Load raw materials and secure fixtures or tooling
  • Select and install cutting tools, inserts, and offsets
  • Program or edit CNC machine programs (often G-code)
  • Monitor machine operations and make adjustments for precision
  • Measure parts using calipers, micrometers, gauges, and CMM equipment
  • Maintain tight tolerances and surface finishes
  • Perform troubleshooting and basic machine maintenance
  • Ensure quality standards and production goals are met
