Traveling Superintendent

A regional leader in the commercial construction industry is seeking Traveling Superintendents. These positions will manage new builds across the nation, ranging from multi-family buildings to industrial facilities. A successful candidate will have the proven ability of managing all phases of commercial construction. This position will provide leadership and management oversight for their diverse project portfolio. The right candidate will feel at home in a fast-paced, high-energy environment.

This position comes with a total rewards package of company truck, flexible travel package, per diem based on location of the role, gas card, tablet and cell phone.

Responsibilities:

  • Partner with project managers to deliver profitable results
  • Manage all phases of commercial construction
  • Building, updating, and owning project schedule
  • Responsible for resource loading on projects
  • Mentor and train all field employees
  • Manage and interpret all construction documents
  • Effectively manage all sub-contractors, and owners
  • Responsible for communicating with owners, architects, and vendors

Basic Requirements:

  • 5 years' experience in a superintendent position
  • Experience managing projects greater than $20 million
  • Must have the ability to manage complex multi-story projects
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables in situations
  • Ability to effectively interact with all members of the organization and work with cross-functional teams
  • Effective time management and prioritization skills
  • Demonstrated effective communication skills, both written and oral

Preferred Skills/ Experience:

  • Experience with a project scheduling software system
