Summary:
The Packers prepares line for packing by obtaining necessarymaterials and supplies. Assembles corrugated boxes,repetitively packs product coming off the line and weights/packs product in cases. Maintains a clean work area at all times.The person in this position also monitors code dates on package and ensures weight/counts are accurate.
Functions Of The Position:
- Repetitively packs product coming off the line and continuously inspects quality of packaging. Monitors code dates on package and ensure weight and counts are accurate.
- Obtains boxes, skids, labels, lids, and any necessary supplies.
- Applies labels and/or tape to cartons, and/or packages.
- Makes corrugated boxes.
- Cleans equipment at the end of the production run.
- Maintains clean work area at all times.
- Observes all plant safety rules, GMP's and attends appropriate training.
Qualifications
- Ability to count.
- Good manual dexterity and vision.
