Carlisle Construction Materials (CCM), is a global leader in the building materials industry. We’ve been around since 1917.
We are looking for a machine operator in our Franklin Park, IL facility. This role is responsible for production of Poly–ISO Insulation to published specifications. Tasks include operation of saws and packaging equipment. Knowledge of processing specifications, operation of production equipment, sheet length, and linear feet.
Pay Rate: $23.00 to $24.00 per hour
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Equipment setup, and upkeep of saws and associated equipment.
- Operate and troubleshoot, Saw control consoles.
- Operate and troubleshoot, crosscut, take critical measurements
- Maintain the use of mold release.
- Communicate product attributes to process operator for correction.
- Attend various meetings to provide input on processing problems and changes to process and equipment.
- Ensure quality and proper facer makings.
- Housekeeping of Plant inside and out.
- Assist in training of new team members.
- Safe/Proper disposal of waste chemical.
- Maintaining 5S Checklist
- Fill in other areas of the plant as required
Required Skills/Abilities/Knowledge:
- Knowledge and Certified in Lock-out, Tag-out Program, Forklift, and Confined Space
- Knowledge of safety aspects of all equipment as well as the plant’s general safety policies.
- Understanding the impact of sending incorrect/defective product.
- Ability to operate mobile equipment safely
Education & Experience Requirements:
- Education – High School Diploma or GED equivalent, technical school preferred
- Experience with driving a forklift
- Experience - 2 years of experience previous experience working as a Machine Operator in a manufacturing environment
Working Conditions:
- Activities occur inside and insulation manufacturing facility. Job includes but are not limited to exposure to the following:
- Temperatures exposed to both ambient/outside temperatures
- Nuisance dust, use of chemicals, working with mechanical parts, pinch points
- Noise of industrial machinery
- Typically, 40 hours per week with overtime as required
- 3 shifts Monday-Friday with weekends as required
