Greenville University’s Department of Biology and Chemistry is seeking an adjunct instructor for Ecology. Preferred requirements include a minimum of a Master’s degree in Ecology, Environmental Sciences, or related field (PhD preferred). A commitment to excellence in teaching will be expected. The selected candidate must provide evidence of a vibrant Christian faith, clearly understand and internalize the mission of Greenville University, and articulate the value of Christian higher education.

The primary responsibilities of the position include:

- Teaching the course lecture and lab for Ecology.

- Commitment to competent inter-cultural teaching

QUALIFICATIONS:

- A graduate degree or at least 18 graduate credits earned in Ecology, Environmental Sciences, or related fields.

- A demonstrated, vibrant Christian faith compatible with the mission of Greenville University.

- A commitment to excellence in teaching in the context of an undergraduate, liberal arts education.

- Experience in engaging students in learning in settings that may include classroom, laboratory, and online (preferred).

- A commitment to the integration of Christian faith with the discipline of biology and health care.

- Ability to engage in critical thinking and exercise independent judgment.

- Ability to communicate effectively in written and oral forms.

Regular Undergraduate Adjunct rate with class enrollment of 10 or more per credit hour is $1000. This rate is subject to change based on enrollment numbers for the course.
