    Cafeteria Assistant Manager
    10-month hourly employee
    8 Hours per day


    Job Summary:

    1. Supervise and direct the general operation of the school food service program.
    2. Train, supervise, schedule and evaluate food service employees.
    3. Order, inventory, and allocate food and other supplies.
    4. Supervise food production and service.
    5. Maintain safe and sanitary conditions.
    6. Submit accurate records of sales, bank deposits, and other reports requested by the Director of Food Service.
    7. To have knowledge of food service payroll entry.
    8. Promote student and staff participation in the food service program.
    9. Develop and maintain effective working relationships with building administrators.
    10. Perform other duties assigned by the Food Service Manager or the Director of Food Service


    Qualifications:

    1. Communication and supervisory skills.
    2. Leadership ability and self-direction.
    3. Good organizational skills, and ability to multi-task.
    4. Good judgment, trustworthiness, flexibility, and emotional maturity.
    5. Knowledge of quantity food purchasing and production; sanitation and equipment operation.
    6. Good math skills.
    7. Computer literacy.
    8. Food Service Sanitation Certificate required


    Working Conditions:
    Is under the supervision of the Food Service Manager and Assistant Food Service Manager

    Terms of Employment
    Ten month employee. Salary and benefits to be established by the agreement between the Board of Education and the United Support Staff Council.
