University Housing provides an essential element of the Illinois experience, with hundreds of employees across seven units working together to build and maintain safe, healthy and welcoming homes for our residents. With 26 residence halls, three apartment complexes, nine
dining locations, multiple storage facilities, miles of sidewalk, a quad and so
much more to care for - our Facilities team has its hands full. University
Housing Facilities include maintenance, facility planning, engineering,
interior design and building service. Personnel Management Resource Management Other duties as assigned.
Rarely, overtime may be needed to assist with after-hours emergencies or critical scheduled events.
Most of the work is performed in an office or other indoor setting. However, working in harsh environmental conditions (e.g. cold, heat, outdoors, dusty) may be required to perform supervisory assessments.
Position involves occasionally lifting items in excess of 20 lbs., bending, and daily walking throughout assigned work areas, including stairwells.
This is a 100% full-time Civil Service 1600 - Building Service Foreman position, appointed on a 12-month basis. The expected start date is as soon as possible after the close of the search. The
wage for this position is $55,451.76. Final
salary offered will be determined by a thorough assessment of available market
data, internal salary equity, candidate experience and qualifications and budget constraints.
